The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) needs help in inviting citizen scientists and the scientific community to help track fish mortalities possibly associated with the current Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) detected in waters within the San Francisco Bay Area.
We are asking citizens to report sightings of dead fish on the iNaturalist “SF Bay Harmful Algae Bloom 2023” project.
Please see the attached flier for more information. If appropriate, CDFW would appreciate if you would print and post the attached flier in any areas you manage near the bay (or share it via email with others who may be interested in participating and/or posting). Thank you for your time!
