Hello Flycasters Volunteer Action Corps members,
We need to send at least 10 volunteers to help with this phase two of the highly successful phase 1 Putah Creek Clean-up. We had 7 volunteers for the first phase, which was mostly trail restoration and vegetation management. After the spring growth much more vegetation will be present and we need to improve access to the creek at the various points on the trail. All Bay Area Clubs are asked to join, since this is a "home" water for us and the closest trout stream to San Jose. The cleanup lasts 4 hours followed byu a free BBQ lunch hosted by a local rstaurant in Winters. The January event was productive and enjoyable for all! We will meet in San Jose and carpool to Winters, 90 minutes away. Please let me know if you're available and we'll arrange the carpools.
