About this event

The “LEARN TO FLY FISH” is a program of HANDS-ON CLASSES that gives you the tools you need to successfully Fly Fish.  The December 7th Saturday session is for those either relatively new to Fly Fishing or would like to gain more knowledge on fly fishing streams and rivers.  We will review some basic nymph rigs and dry fly setups.  You will learn the fundamentals of fly line loop formation. This is followed by learning and practicing some fundamental casts, such as the Roll Cast, needed for good presentations to fish under different stream conditions.  We will learn how to mend your line to improve your fly presentation and reach fish others miss.   “Reading the Water” will be covered so you can find fish without a guide.  You will learn which type of flies to choose in the insect lifecycle as conditions change.  This will be followed by how to hook, fight and release fishClass is limited to 12 people to encourage high levels of interaction.  Lilip Lau and Will Dea will be co-instructors.  Class will be held on Dec 7th from 8:15am to noon. To Register for this event, please click on the title "Learn to Fly Fish" and you will be linked to the registration page.
